Responsibilities:

JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Group Director directs and oversees the Medical Group operational activities for assigned practices. Play an integral role in supporting the operational needs of existing and acquired practices. Oversees policies, objectives and initiatives for assigned practices. Provides leadership oversight to the operations and related activities of all Primary Care and Specialty practice locations by assisting Practice Managers, Leads, and Providers as necessary. Establishes overall direction and strategic initiatives for the Medical Group Network. Recommends, develops, and implements improvements in policies and procedures for the Primary Care and Specialty practices. Remove barriers and develop and implement strategies that enable growth. Ensure appropriate customer service, access to care, and addresses and resolves escalated patient complaints. Communicates and interacts with other internal and external areas, including physicians, as appropriate to achieve efficient and effective operations within the Primary Care and Specialty practices.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Oversees and directs the administration of primary care, multi-specialty and subspecialty practices. Directs operations of practices, assists with physician recruitment, contracting, program development and support physician initiatives. Analyzes financial reports and directs and implements operational changes to optimize practice performance and to meet financial expectations. Supports the quality, risk and patient care coordination programs of Innovation Care Partners (ICP).
  • Develops and owns the business plans, capital proposals, and ensures compliance with appropriate regulations. Focus on increasing revenue and decreasing expenses. Oversees the financial performance of practices, in cooperation with the office staff, physicians, and Billing Manager. Responsible for developing the practice budget, creation of business plans, and capital approvals. Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement marketing strategic plan and managing the successful onboarding and integration of new practices and providers.
  • Oversees practice leaders to staff and ensure adequate staffing levels, inclusive of hiring/onboarding, evaluating, managing performance, coaching and developing practice leaders and employees ensuring employee productivity, quality of work, and alignment of goals with our mission, vision, and ICARE values. Ensure compliance with all policies, financial stewardship by being accountable for the financial integrity around development and maintenance of department budget.
  • End accountability for performance of all clinic operation, including cost, quality and patient satisfaction results as well as driving performance of clinic leadership to support ongoing staff development. Accountable to develop, maintain, and deliver on performance metrics and analytics. Serves in a consulting role. Provides the design and implementation of best practices, streamlining referral linkages across the continuum of care, improving patient access, and assessing the need for process improvement at the practice site. Assists in developing focused marketing and business development strategies.
  • Analyzes practice efficiencies, workflows, patient access, and patient satisfaction to improve processes, drive improved patient perceptions, and standardize best practices across the primary care and specialty delivery system. In conjunction with leadership, identify, oversee and execute network and operations growth opportunities. Identify areas for improvement and driving change initiatives to completion to improve overall operations and financial outcomes.
EDUCATION
  • Other / Certificate or 4 years' work related experience Required
  • Masters in Business, Health or related field Preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • 2 years Experience in multi-site practice management Required
  • 5 years operations and financial management for large multi-specialty groups, medical office and subspecialty administration. Preferred
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) - Certification Preferred
  • Fellowship in the American College of Medical Practice Executives (FACMPE) Preferred
