Job Summary:
The Engineering Student Center within the University of Wisconsin-Madison College of Engineering (CoE) seeks a dynamic professional to join our team as a Student Engagement and Scholars Program Coordinator. The position is responsible for the strategic development, implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of programming and services that foster student success and student engagement in the Engineering Student Scholars Program. The Student Engagement and Scholars Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting students in the program and helping them make meaningful connections to the UW-Madison College of Engineering. In partnership with academic advisors, this position will serve as an integral support to scholars throughout their undergraduate careers, through one-on-one advising. This position will also coordinate the Engineering Student Scholars Program's Leadership Board and Peer Mentoring Program, develop and implement programs and services that support first generation college students, including the Wisconsin Engineering Bridge (WEB) Program, support prospective and admitted student events and programs, assist in the coordination of first-year student programming, and work closely with other staff members to coordinate large-scale events and programs. The Engineering Student Center is part of COE's academic affairs unit, a diverse and vibrant organization that also includes academic advising, career services, undergraduate learning center, scholarships and wellness. The Engineering Student Center brings together outreach, precollege, college/undergraduate scholarship programs, engineering student organizations, and first-year student engagement initiatives. By offering various programs and services, the Engineering Student Center fosters a campus environment that is both welcoming and supportive. Remote work may be available up to one day after a one-year training period has been completed. This position is required to occasionally support programming during evenings and weekends.
