Get to Know Your Team:

  • Hillcrest Hospital Pryor is a 48-bed acute care hospital that provides a range of health care services to the community, including emergency services, urology, ENT, gastroenterology, cardiology, orthopedics, general surgery and wound care.
  • Under general supervision of the Radiologist and Radiology Manager, the X-Ray Tech Student performs diagnostic tests, patient care, and selects appropriate technical factors to ensure proper diagnosis of patients.
  • This individual must be able to operate diagnostic imaging equipment while under the direction of a Radiology Technologist.
  • This individual must maintain appropriate exposure levels according to ALARA standards.
  • This individual must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served.
  • This individual will perform technical and clerical duties as delegated by Radiology Manager and/or Registered Radiology Technologist.

Job Requirements:

  • Currently attending an Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program at a school approved by the Council of Medical Education of the AMA..
  • ARRT or ARRT Registry eligible (upon successful completion of Accredited two-year Radiology Technology training program)
  • BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
  • Competency in components of Radiography practice as appropriate.
