The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are seeking a Technology Solutions Analyst to join our growing New Construction Mechanical division in Seattle, WA. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide overall day-to-day technical support to the project team on multiple projects at any given time. This will include (but is not limited to): BIM coordination, model management, platform management, scanning support, process improvement and sales assistance. Additional responsibilities may include:
Proactively lead and manage the overall day-to-day BIM coordination process for multiple projects at any given time.
Act as the main point of contact for project and detailing teams for all items BIM related.
Provide assistance with one-off modeling requests in collaboration with new project sales efforts.
Mentor and support junior colleagues with respect to BIM processes and software to help grow our collective knowledge base. Provide guidance in day-to-day technical questions or concerns.
Compile project federated models utilizing Navisworks Manage (or similar), following McKinstry's established VDC standards and project specific BIM Execution Plans.
Build coordination/container models within Revit, exporting Navisworks files, and troubleshooting model alignment issues.
Update and manage Autodesk project management platforms, such as BIM360 and ACC.
Assist in the ongoing development of McKinstry's BIM execution standards.
Support the manager and work as part of a team on non-project related, big-picture departmental initiatives.
Distribute federated models to internal and external parties, ensuring compliance with the BIM Execution Plan.
Schedule and facilitate coordination meetings among all trades as necessary per specific project requirements.
Manage the clashing process by distributing meeting minutes, tracking clash resolution, maintain project schedules, run clash meetings, facilitate conversations required for information flow and conflict resolution.
Support project management teams in developing coordination schedules that align with general contractor's key milestones, reduce trade stacking, and achieve a natural flow for the project.
Formalize clash signoff by compiling, distributing, and finalizing signoff documentation as required by the project.
Assist project management resources with BIM coordination concepts and act as a resource to help meet project goals.
Manage time effectively to assist with multiple projects at any given time.

The pay range for this position is $36.48 - $61.97 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This is considered a non-exempt role and will be paid hourly. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
