The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) provides advice and counsel to employees and managers on performance management, employee relations, dispute resolution, and corrective actions. The Senior Human Resources Business Partner performs organizational development interventions on routine to complex performance, quality and culture issues.
Job Status: Full time, 40 hours per week. Hybrid, with a required minimum of 2 days on site (more days may be needed dependent on client/business needs)
Location: Colorado Springs and Denver areas. Regular travel between Denver area and Colorado Springs locations required.
Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional off-hours availability to support client and business needs
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides advice and counsel to employees and managers on performance management, employee relations, dispute resolution, and corrective actions.
- Interprets and explains human resources policies, procedures, and rules to managers and employees and ensures legal compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provides advice and counsel in the resolution of disputes and develops solutions to problems between employees and managers using a variety of resolution approaches.
- Recommends organizational development strategies including quality improvement, performance enhancement approaches, and problem solving by analyzing trends and performance outcomes.
- Participates in the development of change management strategies in partnership with HR Client Services manager and Talent Development Consultant.
- Develops and provides training on employment law topics.
- Conducts special projects on various human resources topics, identifies business issues and recommends solutions using supporting data, documents methodology, and writes reports on findings.
- Coordinates the grievance and disciplinary processes by scheduling time with managers and employees on disciplinary matters, recommending appropriate disciplinary action, and drafting letters of discipline and reports.
- Investigates and resolves routine to complex complaints including discrimination, harassment, violence in the workplace, and hostile work environment by interviewing complainant(s), managers, and witnesses and recommending a course of action based on gathered information.
- Explains and provides information on the Americans with Disabilities Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Equal Employment Opportunity, Affirmative Action, and other programs to employees and managers. Participate in the interactive process between managers and employees.
- Conducts department culture assessments and evaluates intact team development needs in partnership with department leadership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- EDUCATION - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Communications or a directly related field.
- EXPERIENCE - Four years of experience in human resources interpreting and explaining policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- EQUIVALENCY - Professional experience, beyond requirements, in a related field may substitute for a Bachelor's degree requirement on a year for year basis.
Salary Information
Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $82,095.81 to $123,143.72
