Job Overview
The Manager Desktop Infrastructure Services provides leadership, management, and strategic oversight for the Desktop Services function. This role is accountable for service delivery, staff performance, vendor partnerships, and the lifecycle management of end-user technologies. Translates organizational needs into reliable, secure, and scalable desktop solutions while ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and alignment with IT and organizational strategy. Job Status: Full-time, Salaried. On-site, no remote option Shift: Days. Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts. This role is eligible to participate in an on-call rotation which may include holidays and weekends. Essential Functions
- Assigns and reviews work, provides work instruction (OTJ or formal training) and develops team members. Evaluates performance of team members, providing continuous feedback. Manages discipline and performance issues; hires and fires team members. Identifies resource needs and develops recommendations for meeting needs.
- Provides direct leadership and supervision for Desktop Services staff, including prioritization of work, performance management, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
- Establishes clear expectations, performance goals, and accountability measures aligned with IT standards and service targets while fostering a collaborative, customer-focused team providing service quality, consistency, and continuous improvement
- Serves as an escalation point for complex or high-impact issues and ensures root cause analysis and sustainable resolution.
- Owns end-user facing technology platforms, including but not limited to; PCs, virtual desktop infrastructure endpoints, printers, communication devices, and related peripherals.
- Supports license management, maintenance agreements, and cost controls associated with end-user technologies.
- Leads capacity planning, device lifecycle management, and demand forecasting in collaboration with IT procurement, asset management, and finance partners.
- Develops and maintains desktop standards, policies, procedures, and service documentation to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational resilience.
- Evaluates existing and emerging technologies to improve service delivery, security posture, and cost effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications
- EDUCATION - High School Diploma or GED
- EXPERIENCE - Five (5) years of information technology experience directly related to the program function.
Salary Information Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $126,698.59 to $190,047.88
