Facility Operations Job Description

Nature and Level of Work: This position requires operating university vehicles; therefore, possession of a valid motor vehicle driver's license is required. Key Responsibilities: Assist with troubleshooting fire alarm systems and fire suppression system malfunctions. Determine appropriate repair requirements and perform or supervise the performance of repairs in accordance with NFPA standards. Respond to fires and/or fire alarms on campus. Perform liaison duties between MU campus personnel and local fire departments. Notify campus officials if there is a fire, the extent of the damage, and if campus departments must take any action following the extinguishment of the fire. Assist with building surveys to assure fire protection equipment and procedural compliance with NFPA, local and state laws and regulations. Perform other duties as assigned. Shift
