About the role The CDL Driver I will transport non-hazardous materials between customer sites and Reworld facilities throughout the Buffalo and surrounding areas. This is primarily a home daily position operating Class B straight trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and box trucks, with some overnight travel required during winter months. Primary Responsibilities Operate CDL Class B vehicles including straight trucks, vacuum trucks, roll-offs, and box trucks in a safe and efficient manner Transport non-hazardous materials within local routes across Buffalo and surrounding areas Operate vacuum and related equipment to load, unload, and transfer materials as required Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance Additional Responsibilities Complete all required paperwork including logs, delivery tickets, inspection reports, and other documentation Ensure proper handling and securement of materials during transport Maintain clear communication with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding route updates and delivery status Follow all company safety procedures and DOT regulations at all times Support general operational needs and assist with additional duties as assigned Required Qualifications CDL Class B license required Tanker endorsement required Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience Must be 21 years of age or older Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles Acceptable driving record Preferred Qualifications Experience operating vacuum trucks or roll-off equipment Background in waste, environmental services, or similar industries Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently Physical Demands Ability to sit, stand, walk, and climb for extended periods Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Ability to perform physical tasks including loading, unloading, and equipment handling Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions Schedule & Work Environment Typical schedule is 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential for longer days as needed Primarily Monday to Friday with no regular weekend requirement Home daily with the exception of winter months (October through March), when up to 2 overnight stays per week may be required Routes are local, typically 100 to 200 miles per day, based out of Niagara Falls, NY Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage Health savings and flexible spending account options Retirement savings plan Paid time off and company holidays Employee assistance programs Company provided safety training and development opportunities In addition to salary, this roleis eligible for benefits. Pay Transparency Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and we strive to provide competitive compensation and benefits packages. The range below reflects Reworld's reasonable estimate of base pay for this role based on primary posting location. It is expected that most qualified candidates in this location will fall within the posting range. The final salary offered for this role will be determined based on factors including, but not limited to: experience, education, geographic location, skills and competencies, travel requirements and/or union contracts (if applicable). Pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $47,400.00 - $63,100.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
