While this is a remote position, the successful candidate must reside within 50 miles of a FedEx Freight location within the continental US.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Principal Threat Intelligence role is the senior technical authority for the FedEx Freight sovereign cyber threat intelligence mission, accountable for advancing the organization's long-term threat posture in a rapidly evolving global risk environment. This role does not merely respond to threats; it designs and operationalizes the Intelligence-Driven Integrated Operations Model (IDIOM) and informs the threat intelligence and security roadmap for FedEx Freight.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As the senior intelligence authority, leads the core Threat Intelligence function within the Intelligence & Security Team(FIST), delivering authoritative intelligence estimates and risk assessments.
  • Ensure that FedEx Freight is proactively hardened against the most capable global cyber, criminal, and nation-state adversaries while navigating the heightened risk profile.
  • Lead the design and technical evolution of the Intelligence-Driven Integrated Operations Model (IDIOM) framework, ensuring telemetry
  • Serve as the final intelligence technical SME for security controls associated with Transition Service Agreement, providing risk-based technical recommendations to FIST leadership.
  • Produce 24-month technical threat forecasts that drive infrastructure hardening and defensive engineering priorities.
  • Act as the primary security Operations representative to the Information Technology ISAC and the DoD, CISA, FBI partnership networks to preempt industry-wide supply chain disruptions.
  • Provided technical and strategic direction to the FIST Core 5, ensuring the intelligence function is successfully fused with Engineering, Operations, Governance, and Risk.
  • Direct the technical implementation of AI-driven detection logic to counter emerging "Attack Speed" shifts in the landscape.
  • Design and oversee technical scenarios specifically targeting sovereign and legacy connectivity bridges.
  • Evaluate the technical efficacy of MDR/MSS provides to ensure high-fidelity alerting meets FIST operations requirements.
  • Serve as the Primary Subject Matter Expert for executive-level inquiries regarding high-consequence global cyber events.
  • Ensure all intelligence activities comply with data privacy and cybersecurity laws.
  • Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master's degree/in Cyber security, Intelligence, or related field (equivalent specialized military/Intelligence Community (IC) experience).
  • Twelve (12) years' experience in Intelligence (IC, DoD, or CTI) with at least five (5) years in a leadership capacity within Critical Infrastructure or Logistics.
  • Certifications-GCT (CIAC Certified Threat Intelligence), CISM, CISSP preferred
  • Expert-level mastery of the US Intelligence Cycle and the ability to demonstrate "Return on Intel Investment" (ROII) to stakeholders.
  • Possess and maintain as active U.S. Government Security Clearance (DoD, DHS, or FBI) or the the ability to demonstrate immediate eligibility to reciprocity.

Actual pay is determined by job-related factors permitted by law and relevant to the position, such as experience, tenure, market level, pay at the location for this job, performance, schedule, and work assignment. Pay Range: $130,910.00 - $229,093.00 per year

New Jersey Job Postings: $130,910.00 - $180,001.00 per year
This compensation range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting pay range in NJ. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the range is a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary for the lowest level to the current starting salary of the highest level. Actual starting pay is determined by experience relative to the job, market level, specific location and other job-related factors permitted by law. Regular full & part-time employees (who complete 91 days of employment and work a minimum average of 12 hours per week) are eligible to enroll in medical, dental, and/or vision coverage, tuition reimbursement. Full/part-time employees who are age 21 are eligible for 401(k) after one month of employment.
