Job Description & Qualifications:

Job Summary

This is a part-time, casual support position working 3 hours per week, year-round. This position reports to the Director, Regional Campuses. The primary responsibility of this position is to provide professional proctoring services for Pearson Vue testing. It is expected that the successful candidate will become a certified Pearson Vue Proctor within 2 weeks of hire.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Establish weekly testing schedule in Pearson Vue online program.

  • Facilitate/Proctor Pearson Vue tests, primarily related to GED/HSED testing.

  • Maintain necessary certifications for test proctoring.

  • Track testing and send monthly reports to the Wausau Testing Team.

  • Utilize specialized software and perform updates on testing computers.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and contact support sites as necessary (i.e. Pearson Vue, NTC IT Helpdesk).

  • Serve as a customer service contact for the Wittenberg area.

Minimum Qualifications Required

In limited circumstances, NTC may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.

Education: High School Education / GED

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

In order to perform the functions and responsibilities of the position (listed above) the following knowledge, skills, and abilities, including language skills, reasoning and mathematical abilities are essential.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, emails and memos; discuss information one-on-one and in small groups.

Math Skills:

Ability to add and subtract numbers using basic units of measurement.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions; solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Technical Skills:

Ability to navigate to and between computer applications; read/reply to emails, open/save/close files and applications; find, format and print documents; operate common office equipment.

Customer Service Skills:

Ability to pleasantly initiate, maintain and end a conversation; act in a professional manner using appropriate language and body language.
