Job Summary

Provides technical support for curriculum processing and maintenance using curriculum management systems. Prepares, enters, validates, and tracks curriculum proposals to ensure accuracy and compliance with established guidelines. Works collaboratively with team members, faculty, and staff, including close coordination with the Curriculum Development Facilitator to support curriculum workflow execution. Coordinates with faculty and staff to collect and verify information, resolving routine issues and escalating complex matters as needed. Provides cross-trained support for schedule data entry and validation.

Essential Functions

30% Processes curriculum proposals in curriculum systems (e.g., ACRES, Coursedog), including data entry, formatting, validation, and tracking.

20% Reviews submissions for completeness and adherence to guidelines; communicates needed corrections.

15% Coordinates with faculty, staff, district offices, and the Curriculum Development Facilitator to verify information, follow up on incomplete items, and maintain consistent workflow execution; escalates complex issues.

10% Maintains curriculum records, tracking tools, and documentation.

10% Supports curriculum timelines and workflow cycles.

10% Assists with schedule data entry and validation within established systems and guidelines.

5% Performs other duties as assigned commensurate with job classification.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in a related program area, and one (1) year of program coordination experience.

OR

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.

Area of assignment: curriculum processing, curriculum systems, and academic scheduling support

Desired Qualifications

A. Experience working with curriculum management, scheduling, or student information systems (e.g., ACRES, Coursedog, SIS)

B. Experience performing detailed data entry, validation, or records management tasks with a high level of accuracy

C. Experience following established processes, guidelines, and timelines

D. Experience reviewing documents for completeness and adherence to standards

E. Experience using Excel or Google Sheets for data organization and tracking

F. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, and designated functional leads (e.g., Supervisor and Curriculum Development Facilitator) while following established processes and appropriately escalating issues

G. One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years.

Special Working Conditions
  • Standard work schedule varies during the year: August through mid-May: Monday - Friday, 8 hour days; mid-May through the end of July: Monday - Thursday, 10 hour days
  • Required to sit for a prolonged period of time; viewing a computer monitor
  • May be required to travel or be assigned to another MCCD location
  • Travel to campus during interview/selection process will be at candidate's own expense
  • MCC does not sponsor individuals for work visas
