Job Description




As a Security Officer Patrol Route in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist the public with outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and assigned security-related duties at a government transportation location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points, observe site activity, and report hazards, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to post instructions and location protocols.
  • Prepare clear, accurate reports of daily activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and/or client representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
