Security Officer Experience Required

As a Security Officer Customer Service Patrol in Richmond, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, property concerns, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout building interiors, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or maintenance-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, lobbies, loading areas, and other assigned locations to help support authorized entry and report suspicious behavior and/or unauthorized access attempts.
• Support daily operations at a commercial real estate location by maintaining a visible presence, providing directions and assistance, and communicating professionally with tenants, guests, and/or property management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
