Summary
Research Associate assisting with clinical research projects in the fields of autonomic neuroscience, disorders of gut-brain interaction, and non-invasive neuromodulation therapies under the supervision and mentoring of PI. The Research Associate will join an expanding, NIH-funded and nationally recognized research team performing cutting-edge clinical research studies in the field of pediatric Neuro-gastroenterology. The Research Associate will be able to work independently to use fundamental and advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization to perform more complex scientific research. These include clinical and physiologic data collection and organization, assisting with analysis of cardiovascular metrics, imaging data, clinical and behavioral data as well as manuscript writing. Primary Responsibilities
Knowledge - Skills - Abilities
Knowledge of biology, chemistry, mathematics, documentation, and records management. Preferably prior knowledge/experience with neuroscience and/or behavioral research. Data utilization, complex problem solving, critical thinking, resource management, and writing skills. Qualifications Appropriate experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis. Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously. Work Environment
Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment. Sensory Acuity
