From your PASSION to ours

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance activities and provides hands-on leadership to maintenance team members across assigned shifts. This role supports safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations by prioritizing work, coaching employees, coordinating with production and support departments, and ensuring maintenance activities align with company safety, quality, food safety, and operational standards.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Supervise daily maintenance activities across assigned shifts to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in support of production needs.
  • Provide day-to-day direction, coaching, and support to maintenance mechanics and leads, including work assignments, priorities, follow-up, and accountability.
  • Ensure maintenance employees are trained and following safe work practices, food safety requirements, environmental procedures, and company policies.
  • Support preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities by monitoring work order completion, PM compliance, equipment issues, and follow-up actions.
  • Coordinate maintenance support for production to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and help ensure quality food products are produced.
  • Work with Maintenance Planners, Maintenance Leads, Production, Quality, Safety, and Engineering to prioritize work based on safety, food safety, production impact, and equipment reliability.
  • Monitor equipment performance, recurring breakdowns, and maintenance trends; assist with identifying root causes and implementing practical corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by encouraging team input, following up on improvement ideas, and helping implement changes that improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Help ensure mechanics and maintenance leads have the tools, parts, training, and support needed to complete assigned work effectively.
  • Assist with monitoring maintenance labor, MRO usage, spare parts availability, and stockroom practices to support responsible use of resources.
  • Provide support for capital projects, equipment upgrades, startups, and plant initiatives as assigned, including feedback, coordination of maintenance labor, and startup support.
  • Support utility reduction, equipment efficiency, and conservation initiatives by identifying opportunities and assisting with implementation.
  • Ensure facility systems such as alarms, security, sprinklers, fire protection, and related conservation systems are maintained and escalated as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulatory requirements, including applicable PSM, HAZMAT, environmental, safety, and food safety standards.
  • Communicate shift updates, equipment concerns, work priorities, and follow-up items clearly to maintenance leadership and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • A major in Engineering is preferred.

Experience

  • 3+ years of maintenance supervisor experience is required.
  • Food industry experience is preferred
  • Knowledge of Packaging Lines and Dryers is preferred.

Certifications and specific knowledge

  • Requires intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office, SAP, and AutoCAD to present all documents related to any projects.
