Summary of the Job:

Responsible for designing, implementing, administering, monitoring and troubleshooting the organizations laptop, desktop and VDI infrastructure. Supports and maintains other key technologies and software supporting end user mobility, collaboration, and virtual desktops. Lead the efforts in enhancing client technology user experiences. Provide expertise in the delivery of new technologies in enhancing capabilities with collaboration and mobile workspace. Establish, document and maintain policies, procedures and standards. Effectively communicate with peers and other teams to report and resolve quality, hardware, software and operational issues. Monitor the performance, security, and implement necessary changes in a timely and effective manner. Assist in the development of strategies and solutions consistent with organizational objectives.

About This Role:

Job Specific Accountabilities:

Senior Client Technology Engineer:

  • Responsible for the design, configuration, installation, maintenance and management of the laptop, desktop and VDI environment
  • Responsible for building and maintaining an automated imaging process for desktops, laptops, and VDI environments.
  • Regularly apply upgrades and security patches for the associated operating systems, software and hardware in accordance to the organizations patch management philosophy. Work collaboratively to assist others in the deployment of application-based patches
  • Responsible for various server configurations, virtual server needs, patch management enterprise monitoring as it relates to client technology solutions
  • Provides escalated support to Service Desk Teams, performing necessary problem-solving actions to ensure timely resolution to users. Collaborates with other technology teams to solve problems.
  • Documents end user issues, solutions and process for problem resolutions in a call tracking system. Assists in updating technical knowledgebase with troubleshooting and problem resolution information.
  • Expert ability to automate processes with various scripting languages.
  • Expert in configuring Citrix application suite, Cisco UCS, virtual server infrastructure, Active Directory, backup environments and disaster recover processes.
  • Responsible for enterprise scale Hybrid configuration of Microsoft technologies.
  • Responsible for the design, configuration, installation, maintenance and management of the development of a long-term roadmap for a refined user experience and the successful execution of the new capabilities.
  • Actively shares knowledge and experience with other team members to develop effective bench strength; efforts include the development of effective processes and documentation.
  • Leads the way in planning for the adoption and operation of technologies to enhance drive collaboration and support of a mobile workforce.
  • Understand our business partners and customer needs, look for what value we can provide, and tailor our offering to match requirements.
  • Ability to create and generate executive reports for applicable key performance metrics on a monthly basis

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Senior Client Technology Engineer:

Ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) or related area and 5+ years of experience with current technical certifications. Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of various enterprise and datacenter technologies including but not limited to; current Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco UCS, Windows server operating systems, clustering technologies, physical and virtual server infrastructure, and disaster recovery solutions. Ability to automate complex tasks through developing customized PowerShell or other scripts. Proven ability to serve as a project lead and facilitate open-ended technical discussions. Ability to architect high availability cluster technologies such as virtualization clusters. Serve as a technical resource to resolve difficult system troubleshooting requests. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and effectively demonstrate team building attitude and skills. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $89,828.00-$148,215.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.

Work Environment:

It is anticipated that the incumbent in this role will work in a hybrid capacity, balancing in-person collaboration three (3) days a week with remote flexibility two (2) days a week. As part of our team, you'll experience the energy and relationship-building of face-to-face collaboration while still enjoying the flexibility of remote workdays. We provide the tools and technology to ensure seamless transitions between work environments, supporting your productivity wherever you are. Please note that work location is subject to change based on business needs.
