As a Procurement Specialist within the Electrification Smart Power division in Mebane, Nort Carolina, you will support the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of procurement and logistics activities. This includes executing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost, quality, and delivery targets are met. You will play a key role in supporting product localization, cost optimization, and logistics coordination to meet current and future business needs.

The work model for the role is: onsite (#100%-Onsite) in Mebane, NC with 20% travel. #LI-Onsite

This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power division.

Your role and responsibilities:

  • Execute procurement and logistics strategies to optimize cost, quality, and supplier reliability, while aligning with business and divisional objectives.
  • Support local and global sourcing initiatives, including supplier negotiations, price updates, and implementation of sourcing plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance and performance tracking by applying procurement standards, managing documentation, monitoring KPIs, and resolving quality or delivery issues.
  • Foster effective communication and development, delivering training, supporting e-sourcing tools like Ariba, and maintaining transparent collaboration across teams and regions.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of experience preferred in procurement, logistics, or supply chain roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of metallic and plastic components used in electrical/mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience using SAP and Ariba for procurement processes., as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is a plus with with strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrates ABB's core values and group safety and integrity standards and acts accordingly.
  • Implements and ensures compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in their assigned area.
  • Ensures adherence to all relevant internal and statutory regulations and policies.
  • Ensures integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) terms, concept application, reporting, and risks.
  • You hold current residence valid in Unite States of America or VISA/work permit. This is not a sponsored position.
