What You'll Do

We are seeking a Systems Engineer / Architect to serve as a senior technical leader supporting client modernization efforts, including the transition to a Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) product line. This role is responsible for providing end-to-end systems engineering expertise across requirements development, system and network environment setup, testing, and deployment.

The ideal candidate will proactively identify technical risks, gaps, and opportunities, while ensuring that solution architectures align with mission needs and technical requirements. This role requires strong collaboration across stakeholders and the ability to support strategic planning and execution in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior systems engineer providing technical oversight across modernization initiatives
  • Lead technical requirements development to support COTS implementation and integration
  • Support system and network environment setup, including configuration and validation
  • Oversee and contribute to system testing, release management, and deployment activities
  • Identify and assess technical risks, gaps, and opportunities impacting solution delivery
  • Develop and present analysis of alternatives (AoA) to support informed decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership to ensure alignment with program goals
  • Ensure adherence to schedules, milestones, and strategic plans through proactive engagement
  • Provide architectural guidance to ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements
Requirements
  • Proven experience in systems engineering or solution architecture within complex IT environments
  • Experience supporting system modernization efforts and COTS implementations
  • Strong understanding of system integration, architecture design, and lifecycle management
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Integration Architecture - P4 (Expert)
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) - P4 (Expert)

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting federal or government healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record platforms and healthcare data standards
  • Experience with cloud-based architectures and modern DevSecOps practices
