Overview & Position Summary

The Design Coordinator supports Sekisui House US homebuyers through the design selection process by managing scheduling, documentation, and system accuracy while coordinating closely with Sales, Designers, Construction, Purchasing, and Trade Partners. This role is operationally focused and ensures buyer selections are correctly captured in Envision and transferred seamlessly into downstream construction systems.
The Design Coordinator allows Design team to remain focused on buyer experience and design guidance while maintaining process efficiency across multiple communities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Schedule and coordinate buyer design appointments for the Inspiration Gallery
  • Prepare buyer files, New Buyer Coversheets, option packets, and pre-appointment materials
  • Enter and verify buyer selections and upgrades in Envision with accuracy and timeliness
  • Track buyer milestones and selection deadlines to prevent construction delays
  • Act as a communication bridge between Sales, Design, Purchasing, Construction, and Trade Partners
  • Support Designers during appointments with documentation, pricing clarification, and follow-up items
  • Manage post-appointment processing including change orders, revisions, and buyer confirmations
  • Maintain option libraries, pricing updates, and community-specific included features
  • Assist with Inspiration Gallery material resets, sample inventory, and display accuracy
  • Coordinate with vendors on samples, lead times, and product changes
  • Maintain hospitality standards within the Inspiration Gallery, including ordering, stocking, and organizing snacks and beverages
  • Coordinate lunch orders for buyer appointments when applicable, ensuring timely delivery and proper setup
  • Help identify system or process gaps impacting buyer experience or production schedules

  • Gallery operations scale efficiently as home starts increase
