GENERAL SUMMARY
The Assembler position is key in the manufacturing of quality products that meet our customers' requirements. This position assembles various types and materials of components to complete valve assemblies. This position may also require some light fabrication as part of the assembly work to gather components into sub-assemblies or complete units. The Assembler works under close supervision and works with clearly defined methods and tasks that are described in detail while following established safety/environmental practices and regulations.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
  • Valve Assembly to include:
    • Mechanical assembly /fitting parts as needed.
    • Mount actuators, fittings, and hoses
    • Drill, ream, countersink, bore, spot face, and/or tap as needed
    • Inspect and/or test product as required
  • Rework/repair product as directed
  • Disassemble, inspect, and/or repair return products as directed
  • Torque fasteners using hand tools/air tools

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Prefer background in manufacturing of products and capability to perform required tasks involving mechanical assembly, use of hand & air tools, hoists/forklifts.
  • Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written instructions in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Hand assembly and fitting of parts, including lapping, drilling, reaming, facing, boring, tapping, etc.
  • Mounting of actuators, fittings, and hoses
  • Prolonged standing, reaching, pulling, and lifting of valve assembly components.
  • Bending, kneeling when loading and unloading valves to the assembly workbench.
  • Lifting, twisting, and bending to put materials away and moving completed valves.
  • Minimal typing/data entry.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds independently.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Normal manufacturing and office environment. When working occasionally in some shop areas, personal protection equipment (PPE) will be recommended and/or required (safety shoes, safety glasses w/side shields, hearing protection, face shield, gloves, apron, and boots). Must have the ability to support extended business hours to meet customer business needs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
DeZURIK offers a competitive hourly rate in the $17.86 to $21.43 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus opportunities tied to performance.
