Hill International is seeking a Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist - Transportation in the United States

The Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist is a hands-on recruiting leader responsible for managing full-cycle hiring for aviation, rail, transit and other transportation programs and projects across the United States. This role partners closely with the Talent Acquisition Team, Project and Market Leaders, Operations and Business Development to fill technical, professional, and leadership roles in support of active and upcoming transportation programs.


  • Responsible for sourcing, identifying and recruiting new, replacement and contingent staff for positions from external sources for transportation focused roles
  • Responsible for conducting pre-screening interviews and coordinating all interviews with hiring managers and Sr. Talent Director
  • Recruit for complex, hard-to-fill roles across aviation, rail, transit and other transportation disciplines, including program management, construction management, inspection, project management and leadership positions
  • Execute proactive sourcing strategies including LinkedIn, ATS, industry networks, referrals, transportation specific talent communities
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand and define job competencies and recruiting requirements for all open positions, as well as proposal efforts
  • Coordinate internal postings and use appropriate internet sources for external postings, as well as use of social and professional networking sites to identify and source candidates
  • Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with the Operation Managers, Corporate Team leaders, Talent Acquisition team and other staff to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results, and credibility
  • Manage all aspects of the recruiting process (sourcing and qualifying candidates, salary negotiation and verbal offers) using our online applicant tracking system
  • Attend conferences, networking events and office visits throughout the US
  • 5+ years of high-volume recruiting experience in the AEC industry with a strong emphasis on transportation infrastructure
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven experience recruiting for transportation projects including, aviation, rail and transit projects across multiple US markets
  • Be a team player that collaborates successfully in a fast-paced environment to achieve the organization's goals and needs
  • Strong transportation talent network within the US
  • Self-sufficient and able to work under direction of the Sr. Talent Director and hiring managers
  • A track record of demonstrating a strong work ethic, integrity, and personal accountability
  • Knowledge in multiple job boards, social media, other sourcing platforms and ATS (Oracle)
  • Proven track record of building rapport with hiring managers and cross-functional partners
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Travel as needed
