Construction Materials Engineering Technicians Requisition Number: 2026-1050-01 Are you interested in a career in construction or engineering? S&ME is searching for motivated, full-time entry-level or experienced Construction Materials Engineering Technicians to join our Construction Services group. You'll be based locally for project work in the Roxboro area but report to our Raleigh, NC office. What is the job: As a Construction Materials Engineering Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring construction projects, from local eateries to major sports venues, are built with quality and safety at the forefront by testing specific building materials such as soil, concrete, asphalt and more. Whether you're new to the field or bring years of expertise, you'll receive hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to advance. Seasoned professionals can take on leadership roles, guiding projects and mentoring colleagues.
Experience shifting work hours based on project demands and weather, including early mornings, some Saturdays, and overtime (paid at time and a half). Occasional travel to support other offices is covered with per diem and lodging.
