POSITION: E-12 Educational and Assessment Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Director of E-12 Education in partnership with Director of Title Programs & Multilingual Student Services TYPE OF POSITION: 200 Days - Non-Rep Exempt Position COMPENSATION: $80,000 - $95,000 dependent on qualifications and experience
QUALIFICATIONS: Required * Education: Minnesota Teaching License; preferred Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field. * Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of educational experience; prior experience in assessment coordination or school improvement planning is highly desirable. * Certifications: Valid State Educator or Administrator license. * Skills: Proficiency in data management systems (e.g., Skyward, PearsonAccess Next) and advanced analytical skills in computer tools. POSITION SUMMARY: The E-12 Educational and Assessment Coordinator provides support in the administration, analysis, and implementation of all district-wide and state-mandated assessment programs. This role ensures that educational programming is effectively aligned with assessment data to support the diverse needs of general education, special education, and multilingual learners (MLs).
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Assessment Leadership & Management o Serve as the state-designated District Assessment Coordinator (DAC), leading all standardized assessments measuring proficiency and growth (e.g. State testing, Capti, FastBridge, etc.). o Support development and management of the comprehensive District Assessment Calendar, ensuring compliance with all state and district timelines. o Oversee test security, ordering of materials, and coordination with IT for online testing requirements. o Lead regular data-review sessions with building and district administration to translate district-wide trends into school-specific action plans and operational priorities. Educational Programming & Data Integration o Analyze and interpret assessment data to identify academic strengths and weaknesses, guiding improvements in instructional delivery and district programs with the E-12 Education department. o Collaborate with school and district leaders to adapt and align curriculum resources and instructional materials based on data-driven insights. o Support designing and facilitating district-wide professional development focused on assessment literacy and data-driven decision-making. Support for Diverse Learners o Special Education: Coordinate with Special Education staff to ensure all Individualized Education Program (IEP) accommodations are implemented during testing and support the team with data based goals. o Multilingual Learners: Oversee ML assessment systems (e.g., WIDA ACCESS) and support aligned assessment practices. o Equitable Access: Advocate for asset-based practices that ensure all learners-including those dually identified as ML and Special Education-receive appropriate testing supports. Communication & Reporting o Work with building and district level teams to interpret data and use it to support needed instructional changes. o Guide staff and parents in interpreting student results and understanding the overall needs for assessment. o Establish clear, streamlined communication channels for teachers regarding testing protocols, student accommodations, and the practical classroom application of assessment results.
