Village of Menomonee Falls, WI (pop. 41,737). The Village of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin is seeking an experienced and collaborative municipal leader to serve as its next Village Manager. Menomonee Falls is a thriving, fast-growing community and proudly stands as the most populous village in the State of Wisconsin. The Village operates with an FY 2026 budget of approximately $70 million and follows a calendar-year fiscal cycle. The Village maintains strong financial stewardship reflected in its Aa2 bond rating from Moody's, and its history of a disciplined, fiscally conservative approach to budgeting and long-term financial planning. The Village continues to make strategic investments in infrastructure and public safety through its capital improvement program.
Menomonee Falls has a history of administrative stability. This position is becoming available following the anticipated retirement in August 2026 of the Village Manager who has served the community with dedication for the past 19 years. The Village of Menomonee Falls operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Village Manager is appointed and serves at the pleasure of the Village President and six-member Board of Trustees who are elected to three-year terms. The Village Manager serves as chief administrative officer and has full administrative responsibilities for the day-to-day operation of the village government, excluding those parts of the fire and police departments which are subject to the jurisdiction of the board of police and fire commissioners.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in public administration, public policy, urban and regional planning, finance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional work experience in municipal or county government, three (3) of which are in progressively responsible management roles.
- Valid State of Wisconsin driver's license or ability to obtain one upon hire.

Compensation and Benefits
The full salary range is $175,000 - $225,000 +/- DOQ, plus an excellent benefits package. Residency in the Village is not required by State law. Village employees participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System, which is administered by the State of Wisconsin.
