We're hiring a Strategic Sourcing Cost Analyst to join County Materials Corp. in Brookfield, WI.

Job Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Cost Analyst is responsible for analyzing enterprise-wide purchasing activities, vendor contracts, and category spend to identify cost-saving opportunities, consolidate vendors, and negotiate enterprise-level agreements. This role partners closely with cross-functional business leaders to leverage total organizational buying power, improve contract terms, and drive measurable cost reductions.

This position blends financial analysis, strategic sourcing, procurement strategy, contract negotiation, and vendor management to ensure the organization maximizes value from its external spend while supporting long-term growth and operational efficiency.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Spend Analysis & Cost Optimization

* Analyze company-wide purchasing and spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities, vendor consolidation strategies, and spend leverage opportunities.

* Develop category-level spend analyses to uncover trends, pricing variances, and optimization opportunities across departments.

* Identify fragmented or decentralized purchasing and recommend enterprise sourcing strategies to improve pricing and efficiency.

Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management

* Lead vendor negotiations to secure improved pricing, contract terms, service levels, and volume-based discounts.

* Consolidate vendor agreements into enterprise contracts or master service agreements (MSAs).

* Manage competitive sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, RFQs, and bid analyses, to benchmark pricing and services.

* Ensure contract structures align with current purchasing volumes, compliance requirements, and future organizational growth.

* Savings Tracking & Executive Reporting

* Track realized and projected cost savings from sourcing initiatives.

* Provide regular reporting and insights to leadership on sourcing performance, savings, and vendor effectiveness.

* Maintain a forward-looking pipeline of cost-reduction and sourcing opportunities.

* Procurement Process & Governance

* Establish and enhance procurement policies, sourcing governance, and contract management standards.

* Improve visibility into vendor contracts, renewals, spend commitments, and purchasing compliance.

* Implement tools and best practices to increase spend transparency, data accuracy, and procurement efficiency.

Experience & Qualifications: (Required or Preferred)

Education

* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field (required).

Experience

* 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, financial analysis, or vendor management.

* Proven success negotiating vendor contracts and delivering measurable cost savings.

* Experience analyzing enterprise spend data and identifying vendor consolidation opportunities.

Skills & Knowledge

* Strong financial modeling, data analysis, and cost analysis skills.

* Expertise in contract negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing.

* Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across departments and leadership levels.

* Experience using ERP systems, procurement platforms, and spend analytics tools.

* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Work Environment:


  • Work is typically performed in an office-based or mixed environment.
  • Standard business hours; additional hours as needed based on business requirements.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
