Technical Writer (Temporary Contract)

Location: Atlanta, GA

Pay Rate: $45/hour

Contract Length: 3 Months

We are hiring a Technical Writer for a temporary 3-month contract in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid role is ideal for professionals with experience creating training content, process documentation, eLearning modules, and operational guides for fast-paced environments such as quick service restaurants (QSR), retail, or hospitality.

You will support restaurant operations by developing engaging learning materials focused on Point of Sale (POS) systems, back-office procedures, and delivery operations. This position is on-site three days per week (Tuesday-Thursday).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build digital training courses using Articulate Storyline
• Create step-by-step guides, job aids, and instructional materials for POS workflows
• Develop training content for back-office systems, delivery platforms, and restaurant processes
• Translate technical or operational procedures into clear, user-friendly content
• Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and usability
• Update existing training materials based on operational changes and user feedback
• Maintain consistency with QSR standards and service excellence goals

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical writing, instructional design, or training development
• Hands-on experience with Articulate Storyline required
• Knowledge of POS systems, restaurant operations, retail, or QSR environments preferred
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment
