About This Role

K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for an Academics/Strategic Learning Post Graduate Intern. This position is responsible for providing academic support to a caseload of students that includes developing and monitoring academic plans, assisting with development of study skills and individualized learning strategies; assisting students with course and major selections, grade and eligibility requirements; connecting to tutorial and academic support resources; developing and maintaining academic records and reports, and other projects assigned by the fulltime staff.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree at time of application in higher education, special education, or related field
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Strong leadership capabilities
  • Working knowledge of NCAA eligibility bylaws
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in higher education, special education, or related field
  • Experience in student-athlete academic support / athletics academic services
  • Experience working with at-risk student-athlete populations
  • Experience working as GA in athletics academic support; in secondary or post-secondary education as a teacher or paraprofessional, or other related area


Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
