The Sleep, Eating and Affect (SEA) Laboratory seeks a Program Project Manager to oversee and support a growing research program focused on mind and body interventions for mental and physical health states. This position is based at the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health at the Mt. Zion campus, with some capacity for work from home. The Program Project Manager will work primarily on analyzing and overseeing the conduct of the laboratory's program of research, which includes analyzing needs for the lab, overseeing study progress, and performing daily research activities. The research studies taking place in SEA Lab include the following:
The SEA Laboratory interventions are diverse, ranging from whole-body heating and sauna research to psychotherapy and digital therapeutics. Similarly, the SEA Laboratory designs interventions for several populations, including civilians, firefighters, and military service members. The ideal Program Project Manager for this position is very proactive, highly organized, extremely detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills. The ideal Program Project Manager for this position has experience with project management, including overseeing the work of team members. Under the supervision of the PI, the Project Manager will:
- Analyze study needs to enact study planning, development, and implementation
- Analyze study progress to course correct and make changes to recruitment and retention protocols as needed
- Facilitate study team communications, including coordinating and facilitating research meetings, distributing materials, and corresponding about projects' progression.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with external collaborators in academic and community-based settings
- Provide support for administrative requirements of research conduct, such as obtaining necessary approvals, modifying Institutional Review Board applications, registering studies on clinicaltrials.gov and other registration websites, and onboarding research team personnel
- Create databases and manage data collection and partner with the team's statistician in preparation of study reports and presentations (e.g., data safety monitoring board report and presentation slides)
- Collaborate with the PI and research team to support ongoing grant progress reports and new grant proposals
- Analyze scientific literature to contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Support the team with a can-do attitude - filling in gaps where needed.
- Be flexible and willing to adapt to the evolving needs of the laboratory
Department Description: The UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Health is an interdisciplinary center that includes clinical, educational, and research programs.
