Job Summary:

The Digital Marketing Assistant is an entry-level marketing role designed for individuals with foundational marketing experience who are ready to grow their digital, creative, and technical skillset in a collaborative marketing environment. This role supports the execution of digital marketing campaigns while developing expertise across key marketing channels such as social media, graphic design, content development, web publishing, digital signage, multimedia/video production, and project coordination.

Working independently under the guidance of Marketing Channel Leads, the Digital Marketing Assistant contributes directly to initiatives that support brand awareness, audience engagement, and internal and external communications. This position offers hands-on experience translating marketing strategy into execution and provides a strong foundation for advancing into specialized marketing career paths.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Digital Marketing & Content Execution
  • Support the execution of digital marketing initiatives across multiple channels, including social media, websites, digital signage, and content marketing.
  • Independently create, format, and schedule approved social media content aligned with brand guidelines and content calendars.
  • Assist with content creation, including basic graphic design, visual content development, and light video editing or clipping.
  • Publish and update web content under guidance, ensuring accuracy, usability, accessibility, and brand consistency.
  • Create and maintain digital signage content to support internal communications, events, and campaigns.


Creative & Asset Support


  • Organize, manage, and maintain digital assets such as photos, videos, graphics, and documentation.
  • Capture photos or short video clips for marketing and internal communication purposes.
  • Assist with content repurposing across platforms and channels.
  • Support copy editing and proofreading of digital and print materials.


Project & Team Collaboration


  • Collaborate with Marketing Channel Leads to support assigned projects, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Participate in planning meetings, creative reviews, and project discussions.
  • Assist with event-related marketing support, including pre-event promotions and post-event content organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Marketing leadership.

Experience & Qualifications: (Required or Preferred)
Education:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field; or anticipated graduation within six months.
Experience & Skills:


  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Portfolio or work samples required, demonstrating creative style and technical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with standard office and digital marketing tools.
  • Strong written communication skills with attention to grammar, clarity, and detail.
  • Proactive, organized, and self-motivated team player with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to provide a recommendation or reference from a professor, instructor, or previous employer (preferred).

Technology Proficiency:


  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Experience with shared file platforms such as SharePoint, OneDrive, or similar tools.
  • Basic knowledge of Mac operating systems.


Work Environment:


  • Work is primarily performed in an indoor office environment; hybrid work arrangements may be considered as appropriate.
  • On-location assignments, including events or photoshoots, may take place in outdoor environments.
  • Exposure may include noise, weather conditions, and machinery.
  • Travel required: Minimal and project-based; primarily day trips with occasional overnight stays.
  • Typical schedule: 32-40 hours per week during standard business hours, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.
