Application Programmer

Genesis10 is currently seeking an AI Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is for an experienced data science professional with a background in software development. The ideal candidate will apply the latest technologies, including Generative AI and machine learning, to work on end-to-end data science pipelines, correlating disparate datasets to derive business value.

Responsibilities:

• Prototype custom analytics and tooling
• Apply the latest technologies such as Gen AI and methodologies in machine learning, data mining, and predictive analytics to correlate disparate datasets and events to derive value
• Work on end-to-end data science pipelines: problem scoping, data gathering, exploratory data analysis, modelling, insights, visualizations, monitoring and maintenance
• Implement statistical models and Machine Learning techniques in a specific business application context

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience in a quantitative, Data Science or other advanced data & predictive analytics role
• Must have a software development background
• Practical experience with data analysis and exploration, especially with diverse data sets
• Proven ability to learn quickly and works well both independently as well as in a team setting
• Practical experience with data mining, machine learning techniques, natural language processing, and data visualization
• Proven track record of strong analytical skills, learning agility, and independent thinking
• Graduate Degree in Math, Statistics, Engineering, Operational Research, or related field
• Strong English-speaking and writing skills
• Expert Proficiency in Python or R
• Strong grasp of generative model architectures and techniques such as RAG
• Experience with applied Machine Learning models such as decision trees, random forest, and neural networks
• Experience with Natural Language Processing techniques, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and SpaCy for entity recognition

Desired skills:

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of business, operational and technical partners
• Ability to communicate complex mathematical models and processes in straightforward, non-technical language

Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
