Job Summary:

The Resource Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination and daily operations of the Rainbow Resource Network Qlosets, a gender-affirming resource initiative serving LGBTQ+ youth and allies. This role manages multiple Qloset locations across Penny Lane Centers sites and partner agencies, while also supporting mobile Qloset services. The Resource Coordinator ensures equitable access to resources, maintains inventory, and builds strong community partnerships to expand the reach and impact of the Qloset program.

Requirements:

  • The Resource Coordinator will have a minimum of five (5) years lived expertise as a part of the LGBTQ+ Community, or five (5) years' experience providing tailored services to LGBTQ+ children, youth, and families, training staff and volunteers on affirming practices as well as best practices for working with LGBTQ+ populations, awareness of LGBTQ+ affirming language and issues unique to LGBTQ+ individuals and communities, supporting caregivers and youth during the coming out process, and overseeing program staff and volunteers.
  • If applicable, the applicant will submit a letter of interest outlining his or her personal system experience as a youth dealing with formal systems of DCFS. (The DCFS case must be closed for at least 12 months). This letter must also reflect their experience as a part of the LGBTQ+ Community.
  • Must pass a fingerprint and background check. Must have had no arrests or reports with DCFS within the past 5 years.
  • Bilingual Spanish Preferred (verbal).
  • Valid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location: North Hills, CA

Salary Range: $26.13 - $34.44 per hour

Additional $1.00 per hour bilingual Spanish differential.
