Senior Associate, Accounting and Financial Reporting (Hybrid) Position Overview If you are passionate about accounting and desire to work with a team where you will have the opportunity to grow your skills, this is the right opportunity for you! You will assist with advanced financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and special projects related to Pew and its subsidiaries. This position is based in Pew's Philadelphia, PA's office and reports to the Senior Manager, Accounting. This position participates in Pew's hybrid work program with three core days in the office and the flexibility to telework the remaining days. Staff also enjoy four telework "flex weeks" per year. Responsibilities * Process month-end recurring and correcting journal entries * Prepare Excel based monthly reconciliations and schedules * Communicate issues and any suspected irregularities to the accounting manager * Coordinate with members of the Finance department to complete accounting related processes * Review payment vouchers for the year-end accrual process * Contribute to and participate in tasks and special projects as assigned * Assist with the organization of documentation in the Accounting and Financial Reporting group * Assist in tying out financial reports and other documents as needed * Support the 401(k) and annual consolidated financial statements audits * Assist in the preparation of Forms 990 and 990-T * Assist the financial reporting group with reporting on foreign activities as needed * Assist with the preparation of various financial reporting activities as needed * Contribute to and participate in tasks and special projects assigned Requirements * Generally requires 4 years of accounting experience, and a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel * Excellent organization skills, detail oriented, thorough, strong multi-tasking/time management skills * Ability to quickly understand Pew's accounting process and experience managing change * Collegial personality and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams * Prior financial reporting experience and Form 990 preparation preferred * Prior audit experience in public accounting preferred * Successful candidate must be confident, with strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to develop productive, trusting relationships at all levels Travel Limited travel to Pew's Washington D.C. office is anticipated Salary Range United States Pay Range: $74,400 - $83,100The salary range represents a reasonable estimate of the annual salary based on Pew's commitment to provide equitable and market-competitive pay. The actual salary offered will take into consideration many factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills and experience, internal pay equity, and business need.
