Payroll Specialist Full Time, Springfield, MA Pay Range - $23.00 - $25.00 per hour Peter Pan Bus Lines is searching for a motivated individual for our Payroll/Benefits Team. Major responsibilities include: Review and audit timesheets, enter into system for payment, balance and process Review and process employment and payroll changes Provide support to employees and managers for payroll and benefits as needed Ensure activities are in compliance with Collective Bargaining Agreement and State and Federal laws Accurate filing of all payroll/benefits information Associate's Degree or training in Business or Human Resources, 2- 3 years' experience in payroll and benefits processing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in logistics or in transportation industry is helpful Excellent Computer Skills including working with Databases, Excel, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications Experience working with payroll systems and HRIS applications Strong mathematical and reasoning skills required Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists Strong attention to detail and accuracy Able to handle confidential information with discretion Excellent customer service and strong communication skills Knowledge of wage and hour laws and working with collective bargaining units preferred
