Title: Capital Project Manager Level I Executive Area: Administration and Finance College/School/MBU: Facilities & Campus Services Department: Design & Construction Management Work Location: Amherst Schedule:Full time Work Arrangement:Hybrid Job Summary The Capital Project Manager Level I works under the direction of the Project Executive and is responsible for project management for capital projects utilizing both in-house resources and external consultants. Essential Functions Coordinate and manage multiple technically complex capital project activities with both in-house and outside consultants, including preparation and administration of consultant contracts. Other Functions Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree or first professional degree in architecture or engineering. Preferred Qualifications Registration as an architect or professional engineer (civil or structural) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Working Conditions Work is performed in indoor and/or outdoor environments, and requires frequent lifting, bending, tool use or equipment use. May involve work in confined spaces or at heights. Work Schedule and Work Arrangement Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm This position has the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule, which is defined by the University as an arrangement where an employee's work is regularly performed at a location other than the campus workspace for a portion of the week. As this position falls within the Professional Staff Union, it is subject to the terms and conditions of the Professional Staff Union collective bargaining agreement.
