Work Schedule:

Onsite - Christiansburg, VA Our team in Industrial Group - Slip Ring and Marine - is looking for a Master Scheduler to join them. You will report to the Supply Chain Manager and will have an onsite work schedule in Christiansburg, VA. As a Master Scheduler, you will investigate material usage and shortage trends along with customer demand to ensure material availability. You will analyze inventory usage, stock levels, and future demands to ensure appropriate materials are forecasted and available when needed. You will evaluate capacity and develop scheduling plans to best utilize Moog resources and achieve on-time delivery. You will act as a liaison between multiple departments and provide the information needed to allow for good decision making and proactive customer communications. You will monitor key supply chain performance indicators and make recommendations for improvement. You will assist with projects to address inefficiencies or opportunities for improvement in the supply chain. This role requires compliance with Moog planning and purchasing policies and business systems. As a Master Scheduler you will:
  • Review material shortage trends and make corrections to system parameters to help address those shortages and long-lead time items (i.e., forecasting)
  • Assist in expediting materials needed to meet production plan/schedule
  • Review capacity for each work center and evaluate production scheduling needs. Develop production plans, and ensure materials are available to support it.
  • Evaluate system parameters on a quarterly basis in relation to capacity, material availability, and backlog and make recommendations for changes needed.
  • Analyze material usage and top-level sales to determine additional items for forecasting to ensure alignment of inventory with customer needs.
  • Act as the one point of contact between Sales, Purchasing, Planning and Production to field questions regarding materials, scheduling production orders, material reviews, and costing requests.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Pull and analyze data from SAP or other sources. Assist with creation of reports as required.
  • Oversee the material runner
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager in regulating inventory
  • Troubleshoot SAP issues
  • Work with Purchasing to revise outsourcing schedules to align with customer and business needs.
  • Attend department and cross-functional schedule meetings and follow-up on action items identified during those meetings.
  • Assist with continuous improvement projects as assigned by the supply chain manager.
To be considered for aBuyer, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Typically, a bachelor's degree in business or related degree with three (3) years related experience OR associate's degree in business or related degree with five (5) years related experience
  • Attention to detail, ability to handle complex problems, experience and skills related to supply chain, and a focus on results and customer satisfaction.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP (Enterprise Resource Planning, Material Resource Planning) systems.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and report/react to trends.
  • Strong Excel skills include ability to write advanced formulas, create pivot tables and charts.

Salary Range Transparency:

Christiansburg, VA $65,000.00-$85,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
