A&P Mechanics

STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics in Waterford, Michigan.

STS Technical Services is partnering with a premier air cargo carrier to hire experienced A&P Mechanics in Waterford, Michigan. This is a contract-to-direct opportunity offering long-term stability and the ability to transition into a direct hire role with a growing aviation operation.

This carrier operates a diverse fleet of 22 aircraft, including Falcon 20s, CRJs, Convairs, ATRs, and Boeing 727s, supporting ad-hoc cargo services and contract charter operations for major logistics providers. If you want exposure to real operational flying and a mix of aircraft platforms, this is the kind of environment that keeps your skills sharp.

• Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on assigned aircraft
  
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards
  
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and technical documentation
  
• Complete required maintenance records and documentation accurately
  
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance operations
  
• Work collaboratively with team members to return aircraft to service safely and efficiently
  

• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License required
  
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of recent aircraft maintenance experience
  
• Hands-on experience with at least one of the following aircraft:
  
  
  
  • Boeing 727
    
  • CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet)
    
  • ATR
    
  • Falcon
    
  • Convair
    
  
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
  
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  

• Experience in cargo or charter operations
  
• Familiarity with Part 121 or Part 135 environments
  
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  

• Contract-to-direct pathway with a well-established air cargo carrier
  
• Exposure to a diverse fleet and active flight operations
