Astrion has an exciting opportunity fora COMMUNITY PLANNERlocated at the96th Civil Engineering Group at EGLIN AFB, FL.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in community planning, urban planning, engineering, architecture, or a related field
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Proven experience in community planning, facility planning, or real property management, preferably within a military or government environment
  • Strong knowledge of professional community planning principles and techniques
  • Proficiency with GIS software and other data analysis and visualization tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Experience with Air Force Civil Engineering processes and procedures is highly valued
  • Active Secret Security Clearance is desired

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Installation Development Planning:Develop, manage, and execute the comprehensive Installation Development Plan (IDP) to align all infrastructure and facility projects with the long-term mission requirements of Eglin AFB
  • Facility Space Optimization:Lead the Facility Space Optimization Plan (FSOP) and manage the Customer Authorizations (CA) process to efficiently manage and optimize the use of all facility footprints across the installation
  • Infrastructure and Capital Improvement:Plan, program, and coordinate a variety of infrastructure, transportation, and capital improvement projects from conception to completion
  • Data Analysis and GIS:Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS), CAD, and other data analysis tools to manage and analyze facility assets, infrastructure data, and real property records to support planning and decision-making
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:Lead and participate in the Facility Space Management Working Group (SMWG) and represent the 96th Civil Engineer Group in meetings with senior leadership, tenant units, and external stakeholders to ensure all planning efforts are coordinated and aligned with broader objectives
  • Real Property Management:Assist in maintaining complete and accurate real property records for all buildings and facilities at Eglin AFB, ensuring accountability for all real property assets
