Overview
This is a hybrid role with the expectation that time working will regularly take place inside and outside of our Jacksonville, FL office. An Asset Manager in the construction and industrial sector is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of physical assets such as infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and machinery. The goal is to maximize profitability, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain long-term asset value while meeting safety, regulatory, and financial targets. Exhibits significant analytic capabilities and strong customer interaction. May have responsibility over in-place end of lease negotiations, collections and recoveries, as well as inventory management of off-lease returns.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio Management: Monitor performance of a diverse portfolio of financed or leased equipment (e.g., heavy construction machinery, industrial assets, transportation equipment).
- Lifecycle Management: Track assets from acquisition through end-of-term, including renewals, returns, and repossessions
- Asset Risk Oversight: Identify early warning signs of credit deterioration or asset impairment; recommend and execute mitigation strategies.
- Inspections & Valuations: Coordinate physical inspections, audits, and third-party appraisals to verify condition, location, and value of equipment.
- Remarketing & Disposition: Develop and execute strategies for resale or redeployment of off-lease or repossessed equipment to maximize recovery values.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Maintain relationships with auction houses, dealers, brokers, and inspection firms.
- Data & Reporting: Analyze portfolio trends, residual values, and recovery performance; deliver insights to senior management.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree - OR - High School Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience in Operations Additional Requirements:
- Call queue and/or customer account servicing experience including (but not limited to), follow-ups, conflict resolution, escalations, and documentation review
- Early adoption to change management, demonstrates initiative, process driven, and detail orientated.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to collaborate and effectively communicate (verbally and written) and work with different levels within the bank including stakeholders.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment while continually maintaining a positive attitude and promoting teamwork across departments
- Tech savviness, with the ability to pick up new technologies, and have strong knowledge of MS Office Suite including Excel and Power Point.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Asset Management experience
- Banking and/or Finance industry experience
- Large Financial Institution experience
