TAC and
TAC 2. This cohesive team is dedicated to delivering tier 1 and tier 2 support to faculty and staff members. This unit provides excellent customer service while solving technical issues so that faculty, staff and students can be successful in using technology for their educational mission. These units assist with the support of hardware and software solutions for the campus, regardless of if the device is owned by the university or not. |

| Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The Technology Assistant Center (
TAC) Support Technician provides front-line technical support to faculty, staff, and students at the Technology Assistance Center. This on-campus role includes in-person assistance as well as support via live chat and telephone. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and supporting university platforms such as Canvas (or current
LMS), TeamDynamix (or current ticketing system), Banner (or current
ERP), Office 365 applications, various operating systems, internet browser settings, and connectivity issues like Wi-Fi and
VPN. The technician will communicate professionally and courteously with clients, both verbally and in writing, and collaborate closely with the
TAC student workforce-offering guidance and mentoring as they assist clients. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Graduation from high school and one year in the field of technology related to the positions' role. Computer coursework may be substituted year for year for the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
