Position Summary

The Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon plays a critical role in the emergency and long-term care of patients with complex musculoskeletal injuries. They work as part of a multidisciplinary team-including Emergency Physicians, Trauma Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, and Rehabilitation Specialists-to provide rapid assessment, surgical intervention, and recovery planning for traumatic orthopedic injuries.
The Trauma Orthopedic Surgeon specializes in managing severe fractures, joint dislocations, soft tissue injuries, and other musculoskeletal trauma resulting from accidents, falls, or high-impact events. They perform advanced procedures such as fracture fixation, limb reconstruction, and soft tissue repair while guiding post-surgical rehabilitation to restore function and mobility. Additionally, they collaborate with emergency and critical care teams to stabilize patients and develop individualized recovery strategies.Responsibilities
*Evaluate and diagnose patients with musculoskeletal disorders and injuries
*Perform surgical procedures, including joint replacements, fracture repairs, and soft tissue reconstructions
*Educate patients about surgical and non-surgical treatment options
*Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital policies and industry regulations
*On Call rotation with the provider group
Requirements
*Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from an accredited institution
*Board certified/eligible at time of employment
*Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
*DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
*Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
*Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship or substantial experience in complex trauma surgery.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $402.95 - $402.95 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
