The People & Culture Program Consultant is responsible for developing and implementing People & Culture programs that ensure efficient organizational functioning in order to meet business objectives. Working under general supervision, this role evaluates employee training and skill development, tracks projects, and analyzes departmental data to promote efficiency and productivity within the organization.
Specifically, the Workforce Planning & Development Program Consultant plays a pivotal role in managing grant-funded initiatives and developing strategies to cultivate talent pipelines that align with Cone Health's organizational goals. Reporting to the Manager of Workforce Planning & Development, the selected professional will collaborate with key stakeholders to identify talent needs and implement system-wide initiatives to create a future-ready workforce.
The Workforce Planning & Development Program Consultant role requires frequent participation in off-site events within the Cone Health five-county service network and the ability to flex work schedule to accommodate these business needs, often outside of typical business hours.
Essential Job Function
- Ensures that HR programs are aligned with the organization's strategic objectives and contribute to its overall success.
- Facilitates the smooth transition and acceptance of HR programs by providing communication, training, and resources to help employees and managers understand and adapt to new HR policies, processes, and systems.
- Engages and collaborates with key stakeholders, including HR professionals, managers, and employees, to gain their buy-in and involvement in the implementation of HR programs.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvement and streamlining within HR programs.
- Establishes metrics and evaluation mechanisms to assess the impact and effectiveness of HR programs.
- Provides resources, tools, and support to employees to facilitate their understanding and engagement with HR programs.
- Documents and shares best practices, lessons learned, and success stories related to HR program implementation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Duties include:
- Collaborate with the Manager of Workforce Planning & Development to assess workforce development needs, develop business cases, create programs and establish reporting mechanisms to measure program impact on participants and the enterprise.
- Build strategic relationships with key organizational stakeholders and education partners to align workforce planning efforts with business priorities.
- Provide consultative services and manage training program requests for leaders who want to build, expand or enhance internal and external talent development programs.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of selected workforce planning workstreams, including work-based learning, apprenticeship programs. Manage new program requests, including grant-funded programs, to ensure effective project management for workforce planning initiatives, operationalize program execution and oversee reporting.
- Work closely with People + Culture leaders and HR Business Partners to manage sensitive organizational restructuring projects to provide outplacement services, track outcomes and ensure positive team member experiences.
- Collaborate with the People Analytics & Technology team to collect and analyze workforce planning data to inform strategic decision-making and the creation of programs in support of a future-ready workplace.
- Participate in community engagement efforts, including event management, public speaking and other community involvement to expand the influence of the Workforce Planning & Development COE internally and externally.
Education
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- Prefer: Master's Degree
Experience
- Required: 4 years of related experience
- Prefer: 7 years of human resources, workforce planning or career development experience. and supervisory experience
