Education & Loan Assistance: * $10,000 Scholar Loan Program (LPN to RN) * $20,000 RN Loan Forgiveness * $16,000 RN to BSN Assistance Position Details: IV Safety RN - Weekend Option Location: Mercy Hospital South - 10010 Kennerly Rd, St. Louis, MO 63128 Schedule: Full-Time - 36 hours per week Shift: Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday Overview The IV Safety RN serves as a clinical expert in IV therapy and infusion safety, supporting evidencebased practices, caregiver education, and quality initiatives to reduce risk and improve patient outcomes. What You'll Do Lead and support competent, compassionate coworkers in delivering exceptional patient care. Ensure appropriate staffing levels and collaborate closely with the Staffing Office on patient flow and bed management. Use resources efficiently to meet productivity and financial goals. Partner with clinical leadership, physicians, and administrative teams to enhance workflows and improve processes across the continuum of care. Inspire and model a shared vision-encouraging change, professional growth, and continuous improvement. Mentor, guide, and empower coworkers to become leaders of change within the organization. Provide meaningful recognition and foster a positive, engaging team culture through servant leadership. Hold direct and indirect caregivers accountable for professional responsibilities, adherence to policies, and regulatory standards. Participate in performance evaluations in collaboration with the Clinical Manager. Demonstrate Mercy's Mission, Values, and Service Standards in all interactions. Qualifications Education:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with one of the following: Associate Degree in Nursing Nursing Diploma Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licensure:Must hold and maintain a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri or possess compact licensure, in accordance with state board of nursing regulations. Experience: 3-5 years of hospital nursing experience Certifications Required:Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association, or completion within 30 days of hire. Preferred Qualifications Education:BSN preferred Licensure:Additional state licensure or specialty certifications preferred Experience:Prior management experience - experience within change management Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly Prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties Why Mercy?
