About the Role:

The Human Resource Generalist plays a pivotal role in managing and enhancing the employee lifecycle within the organization, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policies. This position is responsible for fostering a positive work environment through effective employee relations and conflict resolution. The role involves administering benefits programs, overseeing performance management processes, and maintaining accurate personnel records to support organizational goals. The Human Resource Generalist also contributes to the development and implementation of affirmative action plans and compensation programs to promote fairness and equity. Ultimately, this role ensures that HR practices align with strategic objectives while supporting employee growth and organizational success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a human resources role with exposure to employee relations and benefits administration and recruitment.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional HR certification such as aPHR or equivalent preferred not required.
  • Experience with safety training and implementation.
  • Familiarity with affirmative action planning and compliance.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting related to HR metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and management.
  • Assistance in administering benefits programs including enrollment, changes, and communication to employees.
  • Coordinate and implement disciplinary procedures in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Conduct job analyses to develop accurate job descriptions and support compensation and performance management.
  • Oversee performance review processes, ensuring timely and constructive feedback is delivered.
  • Maintain and update personnel records to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support the development and execution of affirmative action plans to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Assist in the design and administration of compensation programs to attract and retain talent.
