About the Opportunity
PBS NC's NC Channel &
Original Productions team is looking for a self-starter who has a strong desire
to learn and can successfully demonstrate proficiency and dedication. This
position will offer opportunities for training in skills linked with digital
content creation, studio-based TV program creation and post-production duties
related to content creation, project management and content distribution. This
intern can expect a fully robust experience in project coordination, associate
producing, video editing, working with on-air talent, adhering to deadlines, various
production duties and digital distribution.

Additionally, this position will present
opportunities to work across PBS NC departments to ensure broadcast and digital
content is delivered on time, in correct formatting and is ultimately
distributed.

Due to the limited timeframe for this
opportunity, this intern can expect an accelerated skills-training experience.

This position will work onsite at the Bryan Center in Research Triangle Park, NC . UNC System employees are generally required to reside in North Carolina, within a 2-hour commuting distance of their assigned duty station.

About the Team
PBS North Carolina's Content division provides North Carolinians
with national and local programming and services of the highest quality, using
media to educate, inspire, entertain, and express a diversity of perspectives.

Minimum Education, Experience, and Skills
Recent college graduate from a constituent institution within the University of North Carolina system
(student must have graduated in Spring 2025 or after)
OR
Currently enrolled in a constituent institution within the University of North Caroliina system
AND
Be a full-time undergraduate student (at least 12 semester hours)
OR
Be a graduate student (9 semester hours)

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills
Preferably Communications, Journalism or Film & TV major.
* Must understand the expectations of being part of a team.
* Be reliable in appearing onsite and in ensuring time-sensitive deadlines can be met.
* Must be willing to learn.
* Understanding basic editing using Premiere Pro software is a plus.
* MUST be available when production is going on (Friday mornings until early afternoon).
* Must be able to present a professional appearance, including dress and personal behavior.
