The Clinical Research Intern roleprovidesrecentgraduatesthe opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full clinical research lifecycle, supported by mentorship from Principal Investigators.

WhatYou'llDo:

Research Support & Study Operations



  • Collect experimental data for research protocols, including work with research subjects and non-complex procedures.





  • Run experimental procedures and transfer data outside of the Electronic Health Record (EHR).





  • Maintain study-specific equipment andassistwith research sample processing.





  • Assistin data analysis under PI and statistician oversight.



Scientific & Analytical Development



  • Design and program research experiments with guidance.





  • Prepare grants, conference abstracts, and manuscripts.





  • Review journals, abstracts, and scientific literature to stay current.



Professional Development



  • Attend department-wide research meetings and intern training sessions.





  • Receive ongoing mentorship and contribute to a publication based on your experience.





  • Performadditionalduties related to research operations.

Anticipated Pay Range: Duke University provides an annual base salary range for this position as USD $18.00 to USD $26.49. Duke University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position; candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills; internal peer equity; as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
