Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain visual and NDT yields at 90% or higher for injected product
  • Change FR specific tooling as needed per schedule requirements (dies, wax, setters, trays)
  • Adjust machine parameters as needed within QEI spec or TWI
  • Maintain all raw materials (wax, spray, rods)
  • Work with engineering and scheduling to keep production on schedule Maintain die functionality (slides, safety sensors, etc.)
  • When production stops (completed schedule, out of cores, job on stop, etc.) pull tooling and transfer to the tooling department
  • Work with tooling and engineering to assist in training operators in proper tool maintenance and cleaning intervals at the press
  • Work with operators on efficiencies and filling out accurate documentation.
  • Monitor goal sheets and fulfill the requirements asked by management.
  • Monitor incoming cores for QEI Conformance
  • Monitor outgoing patterns for QEI conformance
  • Monitor safety and 6S practices within the injection area

Principal Area of Responsibility: Responsible for supporting the needs of the injection department and helping to maintain maximized product quality. Will follow direction of and communicate with injection management and engineering to track and maintain material levels to ensure continued production and quality.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the wax injection process required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are needed.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-demand and technical environment.
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred.

Physical and Mental Demands:

Physical ability to move materials and injection tools.

Understanding of basic technical aspects of injection presses.
Strong organizational skills.
Continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to effectively communicate with management, employees, internal engineering, and foundry engineering.
