Placement Type: N/A Salary: $50-60 Hourly Start Date: May 25, 2026 Duration: 12 months (extension possible; potential to convert to full-time) Location: SeaTac, WA - Onsite 5 days per week Schedule: Monday - Friday, standard business hours Local Candidates: Candidates local to the greater Seattle/SeaTac, WA area are strongly preferred Position Overview The Supply Chain Management Engine & Asset Manager supports the sourcing, vendor evaluation, contract management, and supplier oversight for aircraft engines, Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), and other high-value aviation assets across multiple airline brands. Working closely with a senior supply chain leader, this individual contributor role is well-suited for a mid-level supply chain or procurement professional looking to grow within a dynamic aviation environment. The hiring manager is invested in onboarding the right person and providing hands-on guidance - engine-specific knowledge is not required. Key Duties *Support the evaluation and comparison of vendor quotes across price, turn-around time, quality, and parts specifications for engine and LRU repairs and purchases. *Assist with cost modeling to compare vendor proposals on an apples-to-apples basis, supplementing incomplete bids with estimated costs as needed. *Compile and organize large data sets in Excel to support analysis, reporting, and executive-level summaries. *Work with existing RFP templates - coordinate with engineering to validate work scopes, distribute to vendors, collect responses, and compile findings. *Monitor vendor contract compliance, flagging deviations from agreed turn-around times, quality standards, or contract terms. *Build and maintain supplier relationships, participating in regular performance reviews. *Prepare clear, concise PowerPoint presentations summarizing analysis and recommendations for leadership review. *Partner cross-functionally with engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams on matters related to engine and asset procurement. *Support the identification of cost savings opportunities across the engine and APU maintenance and lease market. Required Qualifications *3-5 years of supply chain, procurement, or contracts management experience. *Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including IF statements, VLOOKUP/HLOOKUP, and pivot tables - candidates should be prepared to discuss their honest comfort level with data tools. *Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready summaries. *Experience with competitive bidding processes including RFI, RFP, or RFQ management. *Solid understanding of vendor performance management and contract compliance monitoring. *Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present findings to senior leadership. *Self-starter with strong project ownership mentality and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. *Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; or equivalent relevant experience. *Must be local to or willing to commute to SeaTac, WA - this role is fully onsite 5 days per week. *Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications *Experience in aviation, aerospace, or transportation industries - though not required; supply chain experience in any industry will be considered. *Familiarity with aircraft maintenance contracts, MRO operations, or asset management. *Experience with cost modeling or total cost of ownership analysis. *Background in contract review, redlining, or vendor negotiation. *Proficiency with SAP, Ariba, or similar ERP/procurement platforms. *Mechanical, engineering, or technical background that supports understanding of physical asset maintenance cycles. #LI-MM3 **About Aquent Talent:** Aquent Talent connects the best talent in marketing, creative, and design with the world's biggest brands. | |
