Role Overview:The Mortgage Originator builds relationships with referral sources and Suffolk members while promoting Credit Union lending products. This role assesses borrowers' financial needs, explains loan options, completes applications, collects documentation, and coordinates with all parties throughout the mortgage process. The position ensures excellent member service and compliance with lending programs and all federal and state regulations, including Fair Lending, and requires travel among the Credit Union's 10 branch locations as needed. This position also offers a performance-based incentive program, providing the opportunity to increase total compensation through mortgage production, relationship development, and successfully guiding members through the home financing process.
