We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production team.

New employees can potentially earn $58k in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 50-hour work week. This includes the base rate, overtime and production bonuses.

There are additional ways to earn including referral bonuses and mentoring incentives.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Yard Equipment Operator is responsible for safely moving, loading, and unloading materials using forklifts and/or other types of equipment in a manufacturing setting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Load, rig steel joists and/or girders on trailers as assigned.
• Assist with loading and unloading material in shop as needed.
• Assist with steel joist bundles and yard layout as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety protocols.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

• Regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. Must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime, weekends as required.

$21.00/hour + Production Bonus + Overtime

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. The range may vary by location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in Canam Steel Corp (CSC)'s benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, (plus additional voluntary benefits) and 401K (with employer match).

REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting, preferred.

• Minimum of 6 months experience operating a forklift, preferred.

• Ability to pass internal forklift certification.

• Ability to read and understand loading requisitions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Frequent communication with others to exchange information.

• May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles

• Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.

• Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.

• Frequent lifting or moving objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.

• Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.

• Constantly thinking and processing information.

• Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Manufacturing floor with machinery.

• Exposure to airborne particles, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold.

• Use of personal protection equipment is required.

6am-2:30pm to start on training-moving to 2nd Shift 12pm-9pm after training
