About Corporate Groups
It takes a village, and at BioMarin our corporate groups are the people behind our success. Groups such as IT, Finance, Legal, Global Compliance & Ethics, and our People Team provide foundational support of all areas of operation at BioMarin.
The Corporate Affairs team includes two primary functions: Corporate Communications and Patient Advocacy. Weare responsible fortelling the company's story to the outside world and for ensuring that the company understands the perspective of patients across all aspects of our work. We are seeking a Senior Executive Coordinator to provide administrative support to theChief Corporate Affairs and Patient Advocacy Officer and the broader team across a range of activities from employee engagement events (such as company-wide meetings) to patient advisory boards. This role will alsoberesponsible foreverydayadministrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, handling contracts, helping with the departmentalbudgetand managing travel for the Chief Corporate Affairsand Patient AdvocacyOfficer.
We are seeking a person for this role who has sound judgment, is a creativethinkerandoperateswith the utmost discretion when working with confidential and/or sensitive information. This individual must be a self-starter, who is able to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced and continually changing corporate environment, with an ability to escalate issues as or before they arise.
**THIS IS AN ONSITE/HYBRID POSITION IN SAN RAFAEL, CA**
Essential Duties and Job Functions:
- Manage and coordinate meetings for the Chief Corporate Affairs and Patient Advocacy Officer and members of Corporate Affairs Leadership Team, as needed; schedule meetings/rooms for multiple stakeholders across functions and resolving calendar conflicts
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate Affairs team for employee engagement events, including all hands meetings,roundtablesand other activities
- Provide administrative support to the Corporate Affairs team for patient advocacy events, including advisory board meetings
- Offer onsite support to guests, includingpatientand their families, for visits to BioMarin; this includes coordination of travel
- Coordinate travel and expense reports for Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, as well as people whom we engage to speak at BioMarin events, including patients
- Help manage department budget cycles, including long range planning, annual budgetplanningand monthly financial reporting
- Assistteam in contract submission process, including purchase order requests, tracking statements ofworkand managing third party invoices
- Perform independent research andpreparinginformation for special projects, as requested
- Coordinate, assemble and proof presentations,agendasand other meeting materials
- Assistwith other administrative projects, as needed
In addition to being professional and courteous, the Senior Executive Coordinator mustpossess:
- Ability to work well with leaders, colleagues,peersand outside vendors
- Sound judgment and discretion with sensitive/confidential and proprietary information
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, fluid environment
- Ability to think proactively,creativelyand strategically across multiple projects
- Excellent attention to detail (ability to spot typos and misspellings) and responsiveness to deadlines
- Strong skill with spreadsheets; willassistteam with budget management
MinimumRequirements:
- At least 8 years of executive level support VP, S/EVP, or C-level and office administration
- Strong PC computer skills withproficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint); Concur expense reporting
- Bachelor's degree preferred

The salary range for this position is: $104,800 to $144,100. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
